1. General Overview
Baja Horizon Tour is a non-competitive rally designed for automotive enthusiasts to explore Baja California. The event spans over 600 miles starting in Los Angeles Ca. towards Mexico with a seamless border crossing with full police and National Guard escorts which includes luxury experiences such as Michelin-starred dining, helicopter rides, and private parties. All participants must adhere to safety protocols and legal driving requirements.
2. Eligibility:
Participants must:
- Be 21 years or older.
Extra companion must be +21.
Driver must hold a valid driver’s license.
Mandatory Insurance: Participants must provide proof of Mexican vehicle insurance coverage before the rally. Additionally, BHT recommends that participants carry personal liability, health, and travel insurance to cover any unforeseen incidents.
3. Entry Fees
- All entry fees are non-refundable.
Payment must be completed in full prior to the event.
In certain situations, credits may be issued for future events.
Once participants have fully paid their balance, they will be granted a position in the tour caravan, as well as special seating arrangements during restaurant meals. These perks are assigned based on the time of purchase, ensuring that early payers receive priority in both the driving order and event experiences.
4. Vehicle Requirements
- Only car models shown on the website are permitted on Baja Horizon Tour rally.
All cars must be branded with event logos provided by Baja Horizon Tour.
Participants are responsible for ensuring their vehicle is in safe operating condition. BHT is not liable for any mechanical failure or damage.
Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Notice: While charging stations are available along parts of the tour route, they may not be conveniently located or close to the event checkpoints. Participants bringing hybrid or electric vehicles are responsible for managing their own charging schedules based on the typical charging times of their vehicle. It is essential that drivers plan accordingly to avoid delays or interruptions in the rally. Baja Horizon Tour cannot guarantee access to charging stations.
5. Safety and Conduct
- Obedience to Traffic Laws: The rally is not a race. Participants must follow all local traffic laws and regulations.
- Speed Limits: Full-speed driving will only be permitted on specific highways during designated times. Participants must adhere to local speed limits and traffic laws at all other times. Detailed instructions on when and where full-speed driving is allowed will be provided during the event.
- Zero Tolerance Policy: Strict rules prohibit the use of alcohol and drugs during the event. Any participant found under the influence will be immediately disqualified, reported to the appropriate authorities, and deported back to the U.S. Safety is our top priority, and all participants must comply with this policy to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Violations will have serious legal consequences in addition to disqualification.
- No Tolerance for Discrimination or Corruption: Any form of discriminatory language, behavior, photos, or videos during the rally is strictly prohibited. Additionally, there will be zero tolerance for any attempts to engage in or hint at corrupt practices. Violators will face immediate disqualification, legal action, and removal from the event. The integrity of Baja Horizon Tour is paramount, and all participants are expected to uphold these values.
- Behavioral Expectations: Participants are expected to conduct themselves with respect towards staff, fellow participants, and locals. Any form of harassment, reckless behavior, or disruptive conduct will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the event. This includes behavior during driving, stops, and at all social activities.
- Private Security and Escorts: 24/7 private security, police escorts, and National Guard support will be provided to ensure participant safety.
- Right to Prohibit Participation: The Baja Horizon Tour (BHT) staff reserves the right to prohibit any participant from continuing in the rally for any single violation of the rules, terms, or conditions outlined herein. This includes, but is not limited to, violations of safety protocols, behavioral standards, or any other terms specified by BHT.
- Grounds for Removal: BHT reserves the right to remove any participant from the rally for violations of safety rules, illegal behavior, or breach of terms and conditions.Removal from the event will be at the sole discretion of BHT staff, and no refunds or credits will be issued in such cases. Immediate removal may occur if safety or legal violations are involved.
- Strict Schedule Adherence: The rally will adhere to a strict schedule, and there will be no extra waiting time for late participants. Drivers who are left behind due to timing issues will be responsible for navigating to the next designated stop. BHT will provide the necessary information to locate the next regrouping point, but the responsibility to arrive on time lies solely with the participant. No additional accommodations or exceptions will be made for delays. If, at any point during the rally, you decide to leave the group and proceed on your own, Baja Horizon Tour will not be responsible for any inconvenience, issues, or risks you may encounter. Participants who choose to deviate from the planned route or schedule do so at their own discretion and assume full responsibility for their actions and outcomes.
- Accident Protocol: In the event of an accident during the rally, the event will proceed as scheduled. Designated safety staff will remain with the involved party to provide assistance and manage the situation. Meanwhile, the rest of the participants will continue to the next designated stop or hotel, where they will regroup and await further instructions. This ensures the rally continues smoothly while ensuring the safety and support of those affected.
6. Media, Data and Sponsorship
Branding: All vehicles must display Baja Horizon Tour logos as specified.
- Event Media Delivery: Baja Horizon Tour will provide participants with professionally captured photos and videos of the entire event within 14 days after its conclusion. These will be delivered digitally, ensuring that all participants can relive and share their experience.
- Media Usage: Participants consent to the use of their images and videos for promotional purposes.
- Participant Privacy: BHT is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of all participants. Any data collected, such as names, payment details, and images, will be securely stored and used only for event purposes, promotional materials, and in compliance with privacy laws like GDPR. Participants agree to the use of their data for these purposes by signing up for the rally.
7. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Non-Refundable: Participation fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Credits: In the event of a cancellation, a credit for future events may be issued at the discretion of the organizers.
- Cancellation Policy: If a participant cancels 15 days or more prior to the event, no extra penalty will be applied, and their spot can be reserved for one of the next three Baja Horizon Tours. However, if a cancellation is made 14 days or less before the event, a penalty will be applied, and the spot will only be reserved for the next tour. Failure to attend the next tour will result in the loss of the deposit. No refunds will be issued.
- Helicopter Shuttle Service: Helicopter shuttles will begin at noon or as weather conditions allow. In the event of a cancellation due to weather or any other factors beyond the company’s control, no refunds will be provided. The safety of participants is our top priority, and while every effort will be made to ensure a smooth experience, unforeseen circumstances may result in changes to the schedule. Participants are encouraged to remain flexible and understand that these adjustments are necessary for their safety.
8. Liability and Assumption of Risk
- Assumption of Risk: Participants assume all risks related to the rally, including but not limited to accidents, deaths and legal issues.
- Liability Waiver: By participating, individuals release Baja Horizon Tour from any liability related to personal injury, property damage or death.
- Any damages to the amenities of any establishment will be at your own expense to repair, and you will be held accountable by the proper authorities.
- Health and Physical Condition: Participants certify that they are in good physical health and assume responsibility for any health-related incidents during the event (e.g., dehydration, fatigue, injury).
- Third-Party Actions: BHT is not responsible for the actions of other participants or third parties (e.g., accidents caused by others).
- Environmental Hazards: Participants assume risk from weather, road conditions, or wildlife.
9. Event Rules
- Route and Schedule: The rally will follow a predetermined route, and participants must adhere to the schedule.
- Event Conduct: Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the event. Any form of reckless driving or illegal behavior will result in immediate disqualification.
- ID Badges: All participants are required to wear their event-issued ID badges at all times, with no exceptions. This ensures proper identification and access to all rally activities and checkpoints.
10. Accommodations
- Room upgrades must be requested after your payment once the customer service representative gets in contact with you, with extra charges based on availability.
- Only 2 people per room.
11. Gastronomy and Beverages
- 3 meals per day will be provided including the Michelin-starred restaurant ANIMALON
- No alcohol will be served at restaurants. If participants wish to order different beverages or additional items, they are welcome to do so under their own tab.
- Club Night Bottle Service: During club nights, Baja Horizon Tour will provide a selection of bottle service at the VIP table, including tequila, vodka, and champagne. If participants wish to order different beverages or additional items, they are welcome to do so under their own tab. The provided bottle service is included as part of the event experience, but any customization or extra orders will be at the participant’s expense.
- Responsible Alcohol Consumption: While BHT controls alcohol consumption during official rally events, participants are also responsible for their own safety when consuming alcohol during free time. BHT strongly advises responsible drinking and will not be held responsible for any accidents or incidents resulting from alcohol consumption outside the scheduled events.
12. Additional Provisions
- Support for Education: A portion of the event’s proceeds will support a scholarship program for high-performing students from low-income families, offering them opportunities for academic and professional growth.
- Exclusive Access: The event includes access to luxury accommodations, exclusive parties, and unique driving experiences.
- Unforeseen Events: Baja Horizon Tour (BHT) will not be held responsible for any delays, interruptions, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond its control, such as natural disasters, acts of war, government restrictions, pandemics, or severe weather conditions. Participants acknowledge that such events may affect the rally and agree that BHT is not liable for any financial losses or inconveniences caused.
- Emergency Contact: All participants are required to provide emergency contact information before the event. In case of an accident, injury, or any other emergency, BHT staff will use this information to quickly notify the designated contact and coordinate necessary support.
- Weather Adjustments: In case of adverse weather conditions that could affect the safety of participants or the rally’s logistics, BHT reserves the right to modify the event schedule or route. Any weather-related adjustments will be communicated to participants, and BHT will do its best to minimize disruptions, though no refunds will be provided in these cases.
- Service Interruptions: BHT will not be held liable for any interruptions, delays, or service issues that may arise during the rally due to external factors. Participants agree to waive any claims related to minor disruptions in services like meals, accommodations, or event schedules due to circumstances beyond BHT’s control.
